Speaker Mike Johnson revealed that Senate GOP Leader John Thune strongly confronted Democrats on the Senate floor, expressing deep frustration with their actions.
Johnson described Thune as “a calm guy” who had finally reached a breaking point, saying:
“Leader Thune let them have it. We’re just fed up.”
He added that Democrats appear “more afraid of the Marxist far-left than of the harm they’re causing the American people,” comparing the current political climate to “giving a briefing during a Category 5 hurricane.”
“The Democrats in the Senate will have their 15th opportunity to do the right thing. We’re concerned that they won’t.”
