“Playing With History?!” | Donald Trump Starts Demolishing White House To Build Ballroom

Parts of the White House’s East Wing have been torn down as work begins on Donald Trump’s lavish new ballroom.

Construction crews were seen on Monday ripping out sections of the building, including windows and part of a covered entryway, as the former president pushes ahead with what he calls a “full modernisation” of the residence.

Trump has previously claimed the $250 million (£186 million) addition will sit near the East Wing and won’t change the historic structure but with walls coming down, that promise already looks shaky.

Speaking to Former White House Official Matthew Bryza, Talk’s Ian Collins: “I’m surprised this wasn’t done before?!”
