Revealed: Putin’s War Book He Gave to Trump in Alaska
On August 18, Russian state outlet RT News revealed the book that Vladimir Putin handed to Donald Trump during their Alaska summit on August 15. The book reportedly listed more than 1,000 Ukrainian prisoners of war (PoWs) awaiting return to their homeland. According to reports, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has so far resisted accepting these prisoners back. Trump, speaking after the summit, confirmed he received the book and insisted that the Ukrainian government “has to accept them.” While Trump said the Alaska talks with Putin achieved “some headway,” no concrete steps were announced to end the war. Meanwhile, Trump is now pushing for a trilateral summit with Putin and Zelensky as early as August 22, depending on the outcome of Zelensky’s talks with him in Washington on August 18.
