U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday (November 6) criticized New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, calling him a communist and questioning his impact on the city’s infrastructure plans.
“If he is a communist, you know, there is not going to be a lot of activity. So you wouldn’t need bridges and tunnels,” Trump said, while expressing hope for New York’s success.
Defending Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, Trump emphasized their focus on removing criminals. “If they’re criminals, we want to get them out,” he said, citing crime statistics to justify the policy.
